calm down - Rema. I love the intro beats of this song so much …

As I write this, I’m in the library, I’m listening to this song and jamming.
I’m in the library writing this and I’m trying to clear my head for creativity.
Breathe in… breathe out.
Here we go!
Right now, it’s semi confirmed that my MB is March. We haven’t even reached half of Biochemistry’s scheme of work, or Genetics, or Neuroanatomy, or physiology. Nawa π« π
Random fact: over the past week or so, I’ve been scared about how much time I spend social media especially as my exams are so dancing closer. I think twice about checking my screen time, because of the number that I’ll see π .
To solve this, I was recently reading Atomic habits by James Clear. He talked about how when he was writing the book and he wanted to eliminate distraction, at the beginning of every week he and his personal assistant would change each other’s social media passwords. His personal assistant would change his social media password, and he will change his PAs password. At the end of the week, they’ll tell each other their new passwords.
So I was thinking, that’s a good approach. I can get off socials during the week and come back only on weekends. I started to follow his strategy and I can say it’s helped me focus better.
Rants aside, VCs cup.
I’ve been meaning to talk about this for some time π
If you aren’t familiar with this story (which is highly unlikely), Medicine won Nursing 4-1 on Wednesday last week.
And…it came with a lot of banter π₯²π .
as you can tell, this didn’t go down well with nursing students ππ. They were literally livid.
…
And then the tables turned…
Someone reported that Medicine broke one of the rules of the competition by playing a non-student. Medicine was disqualified.
Jeez... Nursing had their time for revenge. And they used it well.
There were many other bants which I unfortunately wasn’t able to get a hold of π . But it was all so funny.
…
And then.. another twist. Medical students appealed the decision to disqualify them. It was reversed, and they were let back in πΆπ«️π
Nursing students’ revenge was so short π.
This time, med students gave a final response to the banter π . the whole school was literally alive on WhatsApp lol.
…
This is a wacky attempt at reconciling the 2 departments. ☺️
1. Med students like ‘Ijogbon’ π because why would you follow the losing team all the way to the junction to celebrate their loss? Banter suppose get where e go reach na ππ
2. Nursing students (maybe) took things too personally. But some types of banter Dey always enter too sha π
3. Nursing also won mbbs 4-1 last year. E get as e go Dey be with some bants. Next time make nursing take their Banting chance. Make dem no too ‘noble’ π as my friend said (shoutout)
Jokes aside, nurses and doctors can learn to respect each other as students. Because in the outside world, they have a really troubled partnership π . We can use Med school to build those partnerships right from start ❤️.
we all need each other as students and as future colleagues.
All said, congrats to BMS for winning the cup ππ½. Y’all did a good job. I was rooting for Allied health though cuz I think they’re the better team.
Well…they’re not the team that kicked mbbs out π¨πΎπ¦―
To end on a banter-less note,
Congrats to medicine for making third.
Congrats to nursing too π€π€π«±π½π«²πΏππ½π«°π½
Una try
Thanks for reading :)
Bye π
